Bel Air Herringbone Hardwood Floor Installation + Rubio Monocoat
You can never go wrong with a herringbone hardwood floor. Located in Bel Air, one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Los Angeles, this estate features approximately 1200 sq/ft of herringbone white oak floors we installed, fumed and refinished.
This project was unique on its own due to the beautiful herringbone pattern, however to it make more special we use a reactive stain also known as fumed to achieve an old, aged looking wood floor. The reactive stain once applied reacts with the tannins in the wood and immediately turns it grey. Once the hardwood floors were fully dry we neutralized them with water and applied Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C hardwax oil on top to create a cerused look. The owners of this unique Los Angeles hardwood floor are very happy with the finished results.
