Beverly Hills Hardwood Floor Refinishing in the Gagosian Gallery
What an amazing and unique opportunity to be a part of this Los Angeles hardwood flooring restoration project. To be able to work with the Gagosian Art Gallery, one of the most prestigious art galleries in the world, was such an honor. Their Maple hardwood floors were in desperate need of attention due to the dozens of exhibitions they have had throughout the years. Lots of foot traffic had worn them out, and they now needed to be sanded and refinished to bring them back to their former glory.
The goal for this project was to restore the maple floors and keep them looking natural and subdued, so as to not upstage the fine art on the walls. Due to the high foot traffic the gallery sees yearly, we choose to use a two component, commercial grade water based polyurethane finish made by Loba. It will ensure great wearability and scratch resistance for the floors and stairs for years to come. We can now proudly say that our floor restoration work is in one of the most famous art galleries in the world.

Marcos and his team definitely deserve these glowing reviews. CMC Hardwood Floors just installed our wood floors and baseboards this past week and they look amazing. It was a pleasure working with them each step of the way: Marcos was VERY communicative, by phone, email, and text. I really appreciated that during installation I was able to text him my questions and comments from work and that he'd respond readily. Marcos spent several weeks helping us sort out our HOA's application process for installing floors. He put a lot of time and effort in before he'd been paid a dime. Our HOA only allows workers in between 9am and 5pm. Marcos and his team were in and out on time every day and finished up on schedule. More impressively, they left the place in great shape each day when they left. We'd stop by in the evenings to find the tools and unused wood neatly organized and the condo vacuumed, even though installation created a lot of dust each day. I know cleaning up each evening for us took extra time and effort and it was appreciated. Our floors look just beautiful and we can't wait to move in this weekend. Marcos was not our least expensive option but we feel that the seamless service we got was so worth it. You get what you pay for, and we had peace of mind while Marcos was working on our floors. I first met Marcos last year after obtaining a few bids (Brian's, Dutko, and one other that I can't recall now) to have our hardwood floors refinished. From the start, Marcos was absolutely the most professional of the contractors who gave me bids. So, he and his crew sanded, stained, and finished all of our hardwood in the kitchen, pantry, dining room, living room, entry way, stairs, and even installed new hardwood to match, in our family room (which previously had carpet). It all looks amazing!! There was one hiccup that i could've predicted...the newly installed floor in the family room started to cup (or warp). This happened 14 years ago when Wilson Floors installed all of the other hardwood right after we built our home. (I would never use Wilson again, but they did correct the problem). I called Marcos and told him that the boards were cupping. He came out, took a look, tested for moisture, and got his crew in here to sand, re-stain, and refinish the family room floor, without hesitation. Marcos is a great guy, he is professional, and I would HIGHLY recommend Marcos to refinish, stain, replace, install, or do any job related to hardwood flooring! I LOVE my floors!
