Malibu White Oak Floor Refinishing + Loba Invible Matte Finish

After going through some home renovations in this beachfront Malibu house, it was finally time for the owners to redo the hardwood floors. The biggest challenge was how to handle the project. Should the floors be stained? What type of finish would be best to fit their needs? As the house sits on the sand, the client didn’t want to do something that wouldn’t fit with their beach lifestyle of having the doors open, and sandy feet walking in and out regularly.

Malibu Oak floors finished with Loba Invisible

After several stain and finish samples, the client had decided they loved the look of their hardwood floors raw and unfinished. So we recommended to use an invisible water based polyurethane, Loba Invisible, to achieve that appearance while still offering durability against the harsh beach lifestyle. The enite multi-level house, including the beautiful sweeping custom tiled staircase with hardwood treads, was restored. The sanding process was flawless and dust free, thanks to our high end Festool vacuum systems. The result of this Malibu hardwood floor sanding and refinishing project was spectacular, just like the house and ocean view. Happy clients. We really enjoyed restoring these beachfront Los Angeles hardwood floors too.
