Mount Olympus Laminate Removed, Oak Floor Installed + Loba Invisible
This Mount Olympus house in Los Angeles had old, cheap laminate flooring that had been glued to the concrete sub-floor. The owners wanted to remove it and install new real hardwood flooring in it's place. So we took on the project of removing 2,400sqft of laminate flooring and installing beautiful 7" wide White Oak. It was a big transformation as you can see in the photos below....
After the laminate was demolished and removed, we prepped the concrete sub-floor for the new hardwood installation. The floor was levelled out and a moisture barrier was used. We supplied the new hardwod flooring and allowed it to acclimate. Once it was ready, the 2,400sqft of White Oak was installed throughout the house. Then we sanded it smooth and applied a commercial grade waterbased finish on top. The owners wanted a super matte, raw wood natural looking finish, so a product called Loba Invisible was used. A great looking light colored floor that is now the real deal instead of the cheap plastic looking floor it replaced.
