West Hollywood Hand Scraped Douglas Fir Refinishing Project
Located just above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, this residence features a very unique floor thanks to the CMC Hardwood Floors team. The client’s biggest concern was that the kitchen floors were easily getting scratched and dented, which was the case since the wood was Douglas Fir - one of the softest wood species available. So we came up with a plan for these wood floors.
To minimize the scratches and dents due to the nature of the soft wood, we hand distressed the kitchen floors to give them the old, worn unique look so that any normal wear and tear wouldn’t be so visible. It also provided a custom rustic look that the owners were after. To increase the durability we choose to use a 2 component commercial grade water-based polyurethane finish made by Loba. The final result of this wood floor sanding and refinishing project is a unique piece of art the owners are very proud of.

Marcos and his crew did an excellent job laying hardwood flooring in our Condo. They always arrived on time with everything they needed. Marcos was very easy to work with and pricing was fair. You can work with him to customize pricing according to exactly what you want him to do, in order to save yourself some $$. I would recommend CMC flooring if you are considering hardwood flooring in your Condo.
